From what I've read it tops out around 120, possibly 130 depending on wind/rider weight. Apparently the speedo is off a little bit as you get into the triple digits. Check out 2006 Kawasaki NINJA 650 and ER 6N for some more info

Nevertheless, it's a fun bike to ride. :-D

I'm sure it is! I'd love to test ride one. I'm thinking of picking one up even though it won't have as much top end power as my current bike, it should be good for commuting and a lot of fun in its own right.

I've had mine to 135, I dont see how the speedo can be off that much. If your turning 4000 r's @ 50 then 8000 would be 100, and 10000 would be 125. It indicates in the same ratio, unless the tachs wrong too (doubt it)

I did 120mph on my 92 600R. Not nearly pushing the limits. Don't know what my rpm's were tho... i was looking at the road

But its nowhere near linear between rpm's/speed. I think the amount of speed you gain going up the rev range decreases the higher you get. so you could get an extra 10mph from 4k-5k rpm, but only get between 5-10 mph from 5-6k and so on, its such a drag.
Oh and Hi everyone, btw
